There are three types of words in arabic-كَلِمَة

1-إِسمٌ-noun

A noun has meaning but no time.

Name          : مُحَمَّدٌ

Place           : London

Idea             : Peace

Adjective     : Big

Adverb        : Quickly

Gender         : Male ,female

Number        :

2-فِعْلٌ - Verb

A verb has a meaning and has a time.

Past tense      :  travelled-- eg فَعَلَ - to do

Present tense  : travelling

Future tense    :  will travel.

(don’t do)

3-حَرْفٌ- Preposition (particle)

Preposition has no meaning and no time unless it will come with a noun or verb.
