 مضاف مضاف اليه Possessive Phrase

Rules:

1 Possessive Phrase contains two nouns.

2 The first noun is مضاف and the second noun is مضاف اليه.

3 مضاف has  "ال" but مضاف اليه doesn't have "ال"

4 مضاف takes the case endings like(ـُ   ـَ  ـِ ) but never has tanween       like (ـٌ ـً ـٍ ). 

5 مضاف اليه takes only qasra ( ـِ ).

6 Possessive Phrase  مضاف مضاف اليه in "of" construction.

كِتَابُ الخَالِدِ or كِتَابُ خَالِدٍ

 a book belongs to khalid or khalid's book or book of khalid.

note the owner of the book is possessor مضاف and the book is possessedمضاف اليه .

كِتَابُ is the مضاف and خَالِدٍ is the مضاف اليه.

7 basically we convert the common noun into a proper noun is called مضاف مضاف اليه Possessive Phrase.

example.

أَنَ ولَدٌ اِسْمِيْ خالِدٌ

I am a boy my name is khalid.

أَنَ	ولَدٌ	اِسْمِ	يْ	خالِدٌ
مُبْتَدَأ	خَبَرْ	مضاف	مضاف اليه	خَبَرْ
